Dr. Sarah Pope received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mississippi. She was selected for the highly competitive Audiology Clinical Externship with the U.S. Navy, which was completed at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
After completing her externship, she began her career in the U.S. Navy Medical Service Corps where she served 6 years as an audiologist. During her time in the Navy, she gained experience in diagnosing hearing loss in both the adult and pediatric populations. Aside from her clinical audiology positions, she served as the Hearing Conservation Program Manager for two military bases in Japan and three military bases in Hawaii where she gained extensive knowledge on the effects of noise on the auditory system. She also provided diagnostic audiology care for a humanitarian mission in the Federated States of Micronesia.
Dr. Pope is licensed by the State of Texas to practice audiology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, a member of the Dallas Audiology Society, and a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology. She attends annual continuing education conferences to gain knowledge of current research and hearing technology so she can provide the best care for her patients. Dr. Pope lives in Carrollton with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys running, photography, and spending time with her family.
