Juvederm

Juvederm in Plano, TX

What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is a cosmetic treatment commonly referred to as a filler. It helps restore and refill areas where hyaluronic acid (HA) has been depleted. HA delivers volume to the skin. HA is naturally occurring in your body, and Juvederm is the first and only FDA-approved HA filler for improving loss of definition in the face.

How is Juvederm Different from BOTOX?

BOTOX relaxes the muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles. On the other hand, Juvederm is a filler rather than a relaxer. It helps to fill the grooves and lines to eliminate the wrinkles and create smoothness.

Often these cosmetic procedures can be used in tandem to give you the most effective, natural-looking results. Talk to Kevin Lunde, MD to see which is best for you.

How does Juvederm Help?

Juvederm is used to restore facial contours and improve signs of aging. It’s an injectable dermal filler with a base of hyaluronic acid.

Areas that are commonly treated with Juvederm include:

  • Areas of the face
  • Cheeks
  • Lips
  • Jawline
  • Around the mouth

Am I a Candidate?

The type of Juvederm chosen will depend on the location and severity of the patient’s wrinkles, creases, and volume loss.

Because this filler uses naturally-occurring components, your body usually does not have any side effects. Juvederm is fully biocompatible. However, immediately after your filler, you may have some side effects from the injection.

Side Effects of Juvederm include:

  • Bruising
  • Bleeding
  • Swelling

These resolve within a few days. Talk to Kevin Lunde, MD if you are concerned about any side-effects.

How Long Does Juvederm Last?

To keep the results of Juvederm, a follow-up appointment is recommended after one year. The effects usually last about 18 months, so staying on top of evaluation and treatments can help you maintain your results.

How Much Does Juvederm Cost?

The cost of Juvéderm varies depending on several factors, including your location, the specific formula used, the amount of product required, and the expertise of your provider. In general, each Juvéderm syringe is priced individually, and most patients need between one and two syringes per treatment area.

In many regions, Juvéderm typically ranges from $500 to $900 per syringe, but prices may be higher in major metropolitan areas or when working with highly experienced injectors. Your treatment plan is personalized, so the total cost will reflect your unique goals—whether you’re seeking subtle line smoothing, enhanced facial contouring, or fuller lips.

During your consultation, your provider will discuss your aesthetic goals, recommend the right Juvéderm product, and give you a detailed cost estimate before treatment begins.
